About Us

The St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society is comprised of a group of local artists dedicated to bringing social, educational, and exhibit opportunities to our members while providing inspirational and unique art to our community. The St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society is open to anyone interested or active in watercolor painting.

The St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society was founded in 1959 by Joseph Wrobel, an artist and teacher. The Society serves the Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan areas by showcasing the watercolor paintings of our members and by promoting interest in watercolor painting.

Mission

Our Mission is to serve our members by providing an opportunity to meet in a friendly forum, to learn and experience new techniques, to exhibit in juried and non-juried shows, and to give our artists an opportunity to sell their art work.

We also provide our community with varied opportunities to view and purchase watercolor paintings by local artists. This cultivates an appreciation for the many talented artists who reside within its boundaries.

Leeper Park Art Fair

Since 1968 the St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society has sponsored the annual Leeper Park Art Fair, which is held on the third weekend of June. The Leeper Park Art Fair is an invitational, juried art fair that features over 100 artists from the U.S. and Canada, and is ranked in the top 100 Art Fairs in the country.

St. Joe Valley Watercolor Society Members are invited to show their work in the Members Tent and help out in our Information Booth.
